What is it like growing up surfing in Makaha? Incredible Iʻm always surrounded by all my Auntys and Uncles. They feed me, protect me, give me waves. Itʻs one big ʻohana. I love it.

What was the best thing you remember about competing in the Stokeorama? The last time I competed in the Stokeorama was in 2015 when the Stokeorama first came to Mākaha. The best thing I remember was getting my first ever 10.00 at any competiition. And we had an expression session which include me, Keanu Asing, Zeke Lau, and the Gudauskas Brothers. That was so much fun.

What is your favorite Hawaiian word? My favorite Hawaiian word is mālama, which means to take care, care for, preserve, protect, and maintain. This word is very important to me because I have to mālama life, my family, my friends, the ʻāina, and my kuleana as a kanaka.

What is your favorite thing about the ocean? The ocean is free, there is so much life in the ocean. I love freedom when I am in the ocean.

Early morning offshore or Afternoon glass off? Afternoon glass off is my favorite because I can never go in the morning cause of school but when I go to a very fun wave and itʻs glassy in the afternoon. It just ends my day on a high note and I am always happy when I get to end my day with a high note.

Dream Trip? I have so many dream trips. I would love to go back to Kelly Slaters Wave Pool to train, family trips are always fun too. I want to go snowboardng for fun. Surf sick waves with my family and friends.
